Leath HR Group is growing, Andy Almeter is now the President of Leath Consulting Group, LLC, the parent company of Leath HR Group! He succeeds Lisa Leath who is transitioning to founder. Leath Consulting Group also announced that the firm acquired majority ownership of a new business, Navstar Health, LLC, a healthcare consulting and patient advocacy firm. Leath Consulting Group also co-owns an HR technology company, WorkTok, LLC.
“Andy’s track history of growing revenue exponentially while ensuring customer experience and quality are top-notch, is what we’re all about here at Leath Consulting Group. This is the right time for someone of Andy’s caliber to step in and run the broader organization with a focus on operational excellence,” Lisa Leath said of the leadership change. “Leath HR Group will continue to provide clients with HR consultants who are people operations experts, helping businesses to recruit, train and retain their most valuable assets, employees. We’re also very excited to dive into Navstar Health, and expand a highly successful model into healthcare,” Almeter explained the future of the two distinct businesses operating under his leadership.
Prior to his role as President of Leath Consulting Group, Almeter served as a Divisional Business Operations Leader for Novant Health (NHRMC) where he spent over six years in an administrative capacity for over 90 unique business units including Inpatient Cardiac Services, Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab and Therapy, Orthopedics, EMS and Critical Care Air & Ground Transport, Spiritual Care, Home Care/Home Health, and Pender Memorial Hospital.
Almeter, who is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts Degrees from the University of North Carolina Wilmington as well as Graduate Certificates in Policy, Data Analytics and Statistics and LEAN Healthcare. He sits on the Board of Directors for the United Way of the Cape Fear Area, New Hanover Cooperative Extension Board of Directors, the Cape Fear Housing Coalition Board of Directors and is a founding board member of the New Hanover Disaster Coalition. Andy was honored by the StarNews and Wilmington Chamber of Commerce as a 40 Under 40 for the Wilmington area and was nominated as a Healthcare Hero for his innovation and leadership during COVID-19.
Of his new role, Almeter said, “I’m very thankful for the opportunity to grow a thriving business that my family started from nothing five short years ago. It is my personal mission to support each consultant on our team so they can give our clients the world-class experience expected from the Leath brand.”
